Hi all,

This may seem sudden given the plans I wrote of in my last post, but after running into various technical issues resulting from my reliance on inline CSS, I’ve realized that it would be best to rewrite my site sooner rather than later. I feel like this is unavoidable, and that, at some point, I would be forced to do it. If I keep updating the site within its current boundaries, I would only contribute to the spaghetti code more.

I’m not sure when the next update for this site will be or when I’ll finish the rewrite. However, I definitely should not take more than a week. Building my entire site from scratch with no previous coding knowledge took me ten days, and the majority of that time was spent searching for images. I have all of those (though I might need to resize a couple; I’m not sure what issues fixing my code will bring about). There also won’t be any issues of creativity block because I’m not actually adding any new content; I’m just rewriting all the code. That said, it *will* still take a couple of days because I’m not used to proper CSS, and because I’m switching to an actual code editor. Up until now, I’ve been using the built-in Neocities editor (as evidenced by my 1000+ updates within ten days). Although I’m familiar with this editor and I’ve grown to like it, it will ultimately just limit me. I’m switching to Brackets, and I still need to figure out how exactly to link images within it. I’ll figure it out, though.

That means that all the previous plans I had will be postponed. I’m focusing on this now, before it becomes an even bigger issue, forcing me to rewrite even more code.

Thanks for reading,

Luke
