Hi all,
Hi all,
I didn’t dedicate too much time to the website today, as I woke up late and decided to spend what little time I had after work playing GTA V with my friends instead. However, I *did* finally decide on what live chat provider I wanted to use, which is now visible at the bottom right of the homepage. That is obviously not the final product; I haven’t even begun to design the theme for it. I’m planning on dedicating some time to do that tomorrow, though.
I don’t actually know how interested I am in making dedicated pages for books, music and video games. For now, I think I’ll just have the images link to my Goodreads, Last.fm and Steam profile respectively. However, I know that I want this site to hold more than just Armageddon Wake updates, so there *will* be additional content in some form. I’m just not sure exactly what. I’ll probably try to knock out the simpler stuff first as a warmup (the cursor, cursor trial, chat box, probably changing up some of the borders and backgrounds to add some variety) before deciding on my bigger ideas for the site. I’ve seen some people do “shrines” for things they like, which appeals to me more than just having general pages for broader topics. For example, I would much rather have one page entirely dedicated to Skyrim or Kenshi (my two favorite games) than have to worry about an entire archive of all the games I like and my takes on them. Generally speaking, if I’m not extremely passionate about something, I just don’t see the point of putting it on the site.
As I’m beginning to think about things like that, it’s dawning on me that the homepage is probably going to need reformatting, unless I manage to fit the links/button to those new areas within the current confines of the site. In other words, the enormous fireplace might not be sustainable. Sorry.
Thanks for reading,
Luke
