Hi all,

I think I have a clearer image in mind for the site now. The main thing that was irking me survives as the images you can see in the “About me” section; those three images used to be nine album covers in a grid. I could *not,* for the life of me, figure out where I actually wanted to go with that, and when I got the idea to just repurpose the code to serve a broader purpose I went with it, because I’m not really inspired by the idea of a dedicated music section on the front page of my writing-oriented site. You can’t see it right now, but that “shelf” (if you will) is scrollable. That was a nightmare to set up, because originally, I wanted all three rows in the original grid to be scrollable. I made it a lot harder than it had to be. Do *not* underestimate the bitter wrath of one misplaced /div. After I realized my mistakes, I went and labelled a few of them, and then did some more organization from there. Don’t look at my source code. It’s excessive.

Other than the new images in “About me” (which, though currently deadlinks, will eventually link to actual pages with content), I created a “To-do” section. I don’t think any of that is fairly difficult to do. Actually, I’ve pretty much done all of those things already in different forms. However, the process of implementing those things to the aesthetic of the site frequently proves more difficult than actually coding them. I know how to replace the cursor with an image of my own, but the sheer number of options is overwhelming. Right now, though, I think a magnifying glass would fit the site the most. Though what kind of trail would a magnifying glass even have (I have to have a cursor trail, come on)?

As stated in the “About me” section, this site is supposed to serve as a platform for my creative writing. I’m currently more invested in the creation of the site than anything else (including all of my other hobbies; not just writing), so it may be a while before you actually see the “Armageddon Wake" section update.

Anyway, it’s getting late (so late that it’s getting early) so I’m off to bed.

Thanks for reading,

Luke
