Hi everyone.

The site is now in a state that I consider somewhat presentable. The thirteen updates are currently all that exist of Armageddon Wake (that’s canon, at least), and, other than that, I’m not entirely sure what else I want to add. However, I just noticed that all of those fragments are centered and not left-aligned, so I’ll have to go back and fix them individually.

I used “presentable” loosely. I am okay with the general aesthetic, but I don’t quite like it yet. I didn’t want to use the same border for every text box, nor the same background. I feel this way especially towards the Armageddon Wake fragments, which I want to be more distinct from the rest of the site. However, this has only been a project of mine since the 18th of May. Given my current rate of development, I think I’ll be able to consider it pretty in, at most, another month. The most time-consuming part is finding assets that I like, though I could probably shave off a lot of that time by making (or altering) those assets myself. To name a few, I want a cursor, a favicon, more frames, and more backgrounds— all keeping with the current antique-ish aesthetic.

There are a few more plans I have in mind that I don’t know nearly as much about, though. I’d like some kind of live chat or forum, and I’ve had (incomplete) ideas of “decorating” individual Armageddon Wake updates. Not just with graphics, but maybe with audio, too. Now that I’m thinking of the future, I’m also probably going to want some kind of bookshelf (similar to the “music I like” section, with the exception that I plan on including reviews of said books).

Really, I don’t have any concrete sitemap planned out, or anything close to it. However, I’ve wanted to make my own website for years now, and now that I’ve actually started, I feel like I have to put my all into it. When I started a few days ago, creating text boxes and positioning them seemed impossible, and I dreaded every step of learning how to do it. However, the more I learn about HTML (and even CSS, though to a lesser extent), the more I realize how easy it is. This is coming from someone with zero coding experience.

Thanks for reading,

Luke
